Divya is the Chief Operating Officer and founder of Apollo Health Street. With his background in corporate strategy, business management and operations, he is responsible for managing the company’s P&L and delivering the highest level of services to Apollo’s healthcare clients. AHS is today the largest standalone healthcare BPO/IT services company in India with revenues exceeding $100 million. It has close to 3000 staff across its 11 offices globally.
Prior to joining Apollo in 2001, Divya and two of his colleagues had started Emedlife – one of the first healthcare services firm in India focused on offering managed care to corporates. It was funded by the Dabur group and grew to become the leader in the North Indian market and services clients like HP, AT&T, BBC, Daksh, Airtel and many others. This company was acquired by the Apollo Hospitals group.
Prior to Emedlife, Divya served at McKinsey and ANZ Grindlays. His consulting work at McKinsey involved business restructuring, acquisition advisory, formulation of entry strategy and design of portfolio strategy. His diverse list of multinational enterprise clients included both public sector companies and private business groups. His work at ANZ Investment Bank involved acquisition advisory, company restructuring and corporate finance work.
Divya received an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and an Engineering Degree from Indian Institute of Technology (Delhi).
